Obituaries of ASA members

From its foundation in 1946 one of the purposes of the ASA has been to record information about our community of scholars through the maintenance of a register of anthropologists in the UK. It is with that in mind that the association is now seeking to appropriately memorialise those of our community who have recently passed on. The obituaries found below were written by the deceased’s close colleagues. They celebrate the deceased by offering insight into the personalities and scholarship.

If you wish to add an obituary here for an ASA member please contact recruit(at)theasa.org.
