Walk with us. Don’t worry, it's not an assignment. As guests in the city, we thought we would be your guides. We point out its idiosyncrasies, perhaps things you’ve never noticed? The size of a coffee cup, or the shape of a crosswalk. It’s an exploration. Our presence doesn’t define your route. Do a double-take at the things you’ve already seen or think you have. Circle it with your movement, circle in your mind, circle on the page. Draw a new map; one that’s yours. By weaving the threads and layering the fabric is how culture comes together. When someone manipulates the process, it’s propaganda. You’re just listening to us but what are you seeing?
You can email us at mappingtraces(at)gmail.com with questions and your score.
